The lyrical feel to the pieces is achieved by a style best described as hi-tec William Morris, a great exponent of craft based technique of the 19th century, whilst creating pieces which complement the modern technologies of the 21st.
In 1976 Michael Reed set up his design and cabinet making workshop in Notting Hill, London and many of his commissions over the last 40 years have been from the film and digital production district of London's Soho as well as other British commercial clients.
Alongside this work with Interior Designers, Architects and specifiers has been the design and manufacture of individual items and suites of furniture that have been exported to Italy, Thailand, Hongkong, the Carribean and the USA.
The move in 2011 to a new and much larger atelier in France means that production is continuing on a grander scale to meet the increasing demand for highly individual pieces crafted to the highest spcification from the finest of materials.
